From the very bottom of RFAR’s heart, THANK YOU ALL for your volunteering, donating and general awesomeness during the duration of DMB’s summer tour!
There is no possible way RFAR can function without the amazing volunteers we have. As a personal note, in the 3.5 years I have been running this organization, I have NEVER experienced such incredible volunteers as I did on this tour. I look forward to working with you again on other tours!
Congrats to all of our winners too…we hope you enjoy your Burton Snowboards prize package and Live Trax Volume 9! Thanks again to our amazing sponsors at Burton and the Chill Program. Interested in learning more about chill? Check them out at www.chill.org
These are only early estimates of RFAR’s impact on Dave Matthews Tour based on dollar donation conversions and the poundage reports we HAVE received:
*10000 concertgoer-signed postcards sent to US Senators asking for their leadership on an issue of critical importance to food banks: the passage of a strong 2007 USDA Farm Bill
*between non-perishable food and money collected, RFAR enabled food banks nationwide to collectively distribute over 45,000 meals to food insecure Americans.+
+ Due to not having yet received all of our acknowledgment letters from Food Banks, this is an early estimate–and is very possibly much LESS than what we actually collected.
****You can join in RFAR’s dedication to serving the food insecure in our country by becoming a Member of Rock for a Remedy. RFAR is currently offering an RFAR T-shirt for joining our grassroots organization at the $20 level. Each Membership goes towards allowing Rock for a Remedy to continue our work making a difference through music one tour stop at a time! FOR A VERY LIMITED TIME: As we were unable to make it to a couple of shows on the tour, we have a few remaining copies of Live Trax Volume 9 that we can offer as a Thank You Gift to new members at the $20 level!
